About RBI Grade B 2019
The Reserve Bank of India (RBI), India's central banking institution, was established in the year 1935. Though formerly privately owned, since nationalization in 1945, RBI is wholly owned by the Government of India.
RBI conducts the RBI Grade B examination to recruit Grade B Officers in RBI. Grade B Officers are responsible for currency issue and circulation, maintaining financial stability and managing government accounts.

Personal Interview
The Interview round is conducted by a panel of RBI officers. The topic of discussion revolves around the economy, the Government, the nation, and banking sector. Total marks allotted to the final round are 50.
Please note that candidates need to score the minimum cut-off mark in each section of the paper to qualify for the next round.

The official notification for RBI Grade B 2019 was released in the month of September this year. Every year the Reserve Bank of India notifies about the vacancies for Direct Recruitment for the Posts of Officer in Grade B (DR) (GENERAL), Officers in Grade B (DR) (DEPR) and Officers in Grade B (DR) (DSIM).

RBI Grade B 2019 Eligibility Criteria
Candidates, intending to apply for IBPS Clerk should ensure that they fulfil the minimum eligibility criteria as specified by IBPS in their advertisement.
The eligibility criteria for IBPS Clerk 2019 is as follows
Age Criteria
A candidate must have attained the age of 21 years and must not have attained the age of 30 years on the 1st of May, 2019 i.e., he/she must have been born not earlier than 2nd May, 1990 and not later than 1st May, 1999. For candidates possessing M.Phil. and Ph.D. qualification, upper age limit will be 32 and 34 years respectively.
- SC/ST: 5 years
- OBC: 3 years
- Ex-employees of banking institutions: 5 years
- Candidates who had been domiciled in the State of Jammu and Kashmir during the period from the 1st January, 1980 to the 31st day of December, 1989: 5 years
- Ex-servicemen: 5 years
- ECOs/SSCOs: 5 years
- Persons with disabilities: 10 years
For candidates having experience as an officer in Commercial Bank/Financial Institution in Public Sector as also prior experience in Reserve Bank of India, upper age limit is relaxed to the extent of number of completed years of such experience subject to a maximum of three years.
Educational Qualifications
Officers in RBI Grade B (DR) - (General)
- A minimum of 60% marks (50% in case of SC/ST/PWD) or an equivalent grade in Bachelor’s degree as well as in 12th (or Diploma or equivalent) and 10th Standard examinations.
- The minimum qualifying percentage or an equivalent grade for the Bachelor’s degree will be in aggregate for all semesters / years

RBI Grade B 2019 Application Process
The application form has five sections. Filling up the RBI Grade B officer application form involves the following steps-
Prerequisites for Applying Online
Before applying online, candidates should,
- Visit RBI official page and click on the notification that says ‘RBI Grade B Officer Application Form released’. You will be redirected to a new page for online registration. Select ‘Click here for New Registration’. To register, the candidate needs to fill in basic details- name, address, age, contact number and email id etc. After you have entered all the details click on ‘Save and Next’. After the completion of registration process, a registration number and a password will be displayed on the screen. Candidates are requested to save/note down the password and registration number for future use.
- The next step is to upload the photograph and signature (as specified below).
- Upload a recent passport-sized, scanned photograph, preferably clicked against a white background. The photograph should be in JPEG format, size 20-50KB, dimension 200×230. The signature should be in JPEG format, size 10-20KB, dimension 140×60. Applicants should use a black pen to sign on a white paper.
- Next, the candidate has to enter details of his/her educational background- qualifications (High school/Graduation etc), marks/grade (as per the marksheet), and work experience (if any).
- The next step is to validate all the information/details uploaded in the form. Candidates are required to carefully preview the application form and check for any error. This is crucial because you will not be allowed to make further changes once you click on the ‘Save’ button.
- The final step is the payment of application form. The payment has to be made online through net banking/debit card/credit card. Your application form will be considered ‘submitted’ only after the payment of application fee.
- The candidate will receive an email or a text message as a notification alert upon successful submission of the application form. Get a printout of the payment details and application form. Candidates can download RBI Grade-B 2018 admit cards/hall tickets 10 days prior to the scheduled Preliminary exam date.

RBI Grade B Admit Card
Candidates will have to visit the official RBI website for downloading call letters for RBI Grade B 2019 online examination. Intimation for downloading call letter will also be sent through email/SMS.
The candidate is required to use (i) Registration Number/Roll Number, (ii) Password/Date of Birth for downloading the call letter.
